Erich Lessing

Photographer, photojournalist, and educator. Associated Press, photographer, beginning 1947; Magnum Photos, photographer, 1951. Photographer for magazines, including Life, Picture Post, Paris Match, and Quick Magazine. Worked various agricultural jobs in kibbuzim in Israel during World War II. Taught photography in various places throughout the world and at the Venice Biennale, the Salzburg Summer Academy, and at the Academy of Applied Art, Vienna, Austria.
