Joanne Patterson Tamayo, hailing from Harare, Zimbabwe, has established herself as a prominent figure in the world of sculpture. Her educational journey took her from the University of Cape Town, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture in 1996, to the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York, where she achieved a Master of Fine Arts with honors in sculpture in 2002.
