Khalid Hamsa Idris

Khalid Hamza Idris, born in 1977 in Omdurman, is a distinguished artist based in Khartoum, Sudan. With a Master’s degree specializing in Arabic Calligraphy, Idris brings a profound understanding and innovative approach to this traditional art form. His commitment to his craft is further demonstrated through his active participation in a variety of workshops across Sudan, where he both honed his skills and contributed to the vibrant artistic community.

Idris's work has been showcased in several key exhibitions, highlighting his role as an influential figure in Sudan's art scene. Notable exhibitions include his 2013 showing at the Lina Hagar Art Gallery in Khartoum, which presented a significant opportunity to engage with a wider audience. Earlier, in 2009, his work was displayed in Ar Ruseris in the Blue Nile State, offering a glimpse into the region's diverse cultural expressions.
