Mavis Tauzeni

Mavis Tauzeni, a Zimbabwean artist known for her print and mixed media works, evokes a sense of introspection and reflection. Speaking from a distinctly feminine perspective, Tauzeni explores the complex interplay between a woman's potential and her reality, both in daily life and through various life stages. Her work celebrates the unique connection women have to the physical, spiritual, and emotional realms, emphasizing their role as life-givers and nurturers.

Educated at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe Visual Arts Studios, where she earned a National Certificate in Fine Art in 2009, Tauzeni has developed a compelling artistic voice. Her exhibition history is extensive, featuring solo and group shows both locally and internationally, including significant exhibitions in Paris, Harare, Australia, Johannesburg, and more.
