Sipho Ndlovu has been a dedicated full-time artist since 1985, establishing himself as a significant figure in the South African art scene. His artistic journey gained momentum with frequent exhibitions at the Sanderling Art Gallery during 1988 and 1989, leading to his first solo exhibition at the Shell House Art Gallery in Johannesburg in 1989.

In 1990, Ndlovu relocated to Cape Town, where he continued to refine his craft, experimenting with various media and techniques. His Cape Town studio became the hub of his creative output and commercial success. Further cementing his status, in 2000, Ndlovu was commissioned by Sun International to produce three paintings for the Grand West Casino in Cape Town.
